Software professional, $100,000 salary, settled in USA. Going rate: Rs 3 crore. Residency doctor, $90,000 per annum, settled in USA.

Going rate: Rs 2 crore. Businessman, earns Rs 1 lakh per month, settled in metro. Going rate: Rs 2 crore. Dowry rates are reaching unprecedented levels this December as hordes of NRIs head back home to get hitched.

Hyderabad is particularly famous for well earning grooms selling themselves for higher price, but there are lots of other places too. But are they really all that educated when they couldn’t grasp the simple fact that anyone capable of reproducing (including they themselves) has atleast 50% chance of being father of girls themselves. Don’t they realise that it all comes back. Well, it might all be coming back for those fathers of girls who are trying to buy those grooms now.

Isn’t it another kind of terrorism targetting the honour, even lives of girls’ family? If it is, are all those people outsourcing jobs to India feeding terrorism without knowing? And do the Indians really deserve all this money when even the educated of them can go to such levels, leave mentioning the poor illiterates.

Yes, Not all Indians are the same. But even one is one too many.
